Having left the UK on Boxing Day, I managed 4 hours sleep before setting off on a 3 day ski trip to Nagano (1998 Winter Olympic Games). The first two days we had blizzards though this did not deter me from learning how to snowboard. The final day's weather was glorious and I was soon bombing down a beautiful mountain in the sunshine.
