From Bangkok, we flew to Luang Prabang - a small city with a population of 22,000 in north central Laos. Luang Prabang has to be one of the most relaxing places that I have visited. Theres a strong French influence in the architecture and cuisine, with the occasional temple & Wat thrown in. One can simply idle along the high street, have an hours massage at 3USD. Sample some nice wine, hire a bicycle, take a boat trip to the buddah cave. The entire city seems to exist to cater for the traveller who is quite content to let time pass by.
