I recently took the ferry to Oshima island, on arrival we hired bikes and embarked on our mission to cycle the 52k around the island. With its the lush vegetation, volcanic rock, black sanded beaches & exotic birds constantly chirping, it felt extremely tropical. Sunday morning was spent clearing hangovers hiking the volcano. The volcano was still smoking in parts and you could feel the heat from the ground. The afternoon was more relaxing, I went snorkeling & saw several blowfish.
